Heart Failure Clinic

The EMH Heart Failure Clinic is located within the freestanding EMH Center for Wound Care & Infusion building on the EMH Regional Medical Center campus.  Staffed by three advanced-practice nurses, this unique facility provides treatment and education for those with heart failure.

Patients are referred to the Heart Failure Clinic by their physicians, typically family practice, internal medicine/primary care as well as cardiologists, nephrologists (kidney) and pulmonologists (lungs). The highly-trained staff help patients recognize the signs and symptoms of heart failure and how the medicines they've been prescribed affect them.  This helps patients take an active role in their own treatment.
